Jaci’s Favorite Things: the 2018 Chevy Malibu

By krosenbaum | Posted in Chevy Malibu, Favorite Things, Jaci Velasquez, Newton Chevrolet, Newton Motor Group on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at 9:00 AM

2018 Chevy Malibu

Newly-minted Dove-award winning artist Jaci Velasquez recently took the 2018 Chevy Malibu for a month-long test drive! She was impressed to find that not only is Chevy making durable, affordable cars, but also luxurious ones!

Simple Luxury

Luxury does not have to be expensive to impress us; it simply needs to be in the details: “Something as simple as one-touch button entry,” Jaci says. On each door handle of the Malibu, there is a small silver button. This enables entry without pressing the unlock button on your key fob. As long as you have the keys in your purse, with a simple click of the button, you can get into your car. It’s this kind of small detail that adds grace & luxury to this model.

Stylish Accessories

“Being a female, I love to accessorize,” Jaci says as she introduces some accessories that add to the style of the Malibu. Its exterior is refined, sleek, made for dynamic efficiency. Jaci’s favorite accessory on this model are the rims, of which there are six different options across the 2018 edition. Look at them shine!

Smart Technology

The final feature that the 2018 Chevy Malibu offers alongside the available Chevrolet MyLink display screen is innovative technology to keep our teens safe. Called Teen Driver Technology, a system which allows you to set maximum speed limits, audio controls, and even see “report cards” of how your young driver’s day went. These features are sure to give peace of mind to parents, as well as keep their kids safe.

Jaci Velasquez’s Favorite Things About the 2017 GMC Acadia

By krosenbaum | Posted in Chevy Acadia, Favorite Things, Jaci Velasquez, Newton Chevrolet on Monday, October 30th, 2017 at 9:00 AM

Last month, local Grammy-nominated artist Jaci Velasquez took the 2017 GMC Acadia for a whole month, to drive it and to test all of its bells & whistles. She was impressed by the luxurious style and space that the Acadia offers. She also loved all the safety features available, because she understands what it is like to drive distracted by the craziness of having kids in the back seat!

Luxury

When looking for a car, it is important to love it. The 2017 GMC Acadia makes that easy by providing many luxury features. Jaci’s favorites include the two sunroofs, which include visors to shield you from direct sunlight. She also loves the Bose Sound System. “A fun perk is getting the Sirius XM radio, free for the first few months,” she says. The touch screen in the center makes it easy to stay focused on the road while both navigating and picking those perfect tunes!

Safety

Safety, of course, is of concern for all of us. Jaci gave a real life example that we all are all-too-familiar with: texting while driving. “The car beeps at you, like it’s saying, ‘No, no, no!’ And we all need that,” she says with a smile. She was referring specifically to the two main safety features available on the 2017 GMC Acadia: Side Blind Spot with Lane Change Alerts and Driver Alert. Whether you’re changing lanes or looking at your phone, the Acadia will alert you to stay focused. Driver Alert will also be triggered when you are too close to the car in front of you.  As she detailed her recent experience with this very feature, alerting her as she speedily approached stopped traffic, she said, “safety is the most important thing you could ever have.”

GMC is certainly making sure that we all have access to the technologies to keep us safe, without sacrificing beauty or luxury. Come to Newton Chevrolet Buick GMC today to see our 2017 GMC Acadia models, and find your perfect new car!

Celebrate 100 Years of Trucks with the 2018 Chevy Colorado

By krosenbaum | Posted in Chevy News, New Truck, Newton Chevrolet on Monday, October 16th, 2017 at 9:00 AM

2018 will mark 100 Years of Trucks for Chevrolet. That’s an estimated 85 million trucks manufactured, according to Chevy. To celebrate with the company that has defined the design of trucks for 100 years, why not look inside the 2018 Chevy Colorado?

2018 Chevy Colorado

A Sleek Design

This 2018 Chevy Colorado LT looks as nice as it drives. It has all the best features you would expect to find in a Chevy, but the LT model has a few upgraded perks: including 17-inch alloy wheels, a heavy-duty trailering package, and side-mirror caps, door handles, and bumper details that match the body color.

The Chevrolet MyLink Radio has a new large 8-inch touch screen, instead of the standard 7-inch. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather, and it features the Remote Keyless Entry and Starter System. That way, you can start your car on these brisk fall mornings and warm it up before you even step outside!

Room for More

The roomy backseat is made for others to join you on the adventures that this truck can handle. Hidden beneath these rear seats is plenty of storage space, making packing this truck full a cinch! Also for your backseat passengers are two USB ports, so that everyone can stay connected and charged.

Power to Spare

The 2018 Chevy Colorado has a V6 engine and a 8-speed automatic transmission. It runs efficiently and easily, while cutting down on noise on the highway. As far as towing, Chevy leads the industry, and this model tows up to 7000 pounds.

A Solid Choice: the 2018 Chevy Equinox

By krosenbaum | Posted in Chevy Equinox, Newton Chevrolet on Monday, September 18th, 2017 at 10:51 AM

2018 Chevy Equinox

The 2018 Chevy Equinox: Why is it a solid choice?

We know there are plenty of vehicles out there to choose from, but the 2018 Chevy Equinox stands out for many reasons. Does the 2018 Chevy Equinox (above) look different to you from the 2017 model (below)? Believe it or not, the 2018 model lost nearly 400 pounds from the 2017 model!

Slimmer, yet Stronger

Despite the weight loss, the main objective in crafting the 2018 Chevy Equinox was safety and precision. The steel is stronger, creating a “safety cage” around passengers. The slimmed-down body gives the driver the feeling of agility and precision around curves. It also provides a better space for the 1.5 turbo engine, which offers power as well as an average 29 mpg highway fuel efficiency. In addition, the 1.6 L diesel engine offers an average 40 mpg highway fuel efficiency.

2018 Chevy Equinox

Newer Storage

The Equinox didn’t shrink the storage in the back, however much weight they skimmed off the new models. In fact, Chevy added new features, such as the large, hidden storage space underneath the seats; also accessible is the flat cargo floor, which makes loading and unloading far easier.

2018 Chevy Equinox

A Solid Choice

The 2018 Chevy Equinox, though it quite literally sacrificed a lot of weight, has gained much more than it lost. The slimmer shape enhances the overall safety and performance of the vehicle, while maintaining the protection and precision that is standard on all Chevy vehicles. This makes it a solid choice for a compact SUV this year.

The 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500HD Might be the Most Powerful Car Ever; Here’s Why:

By bharrison | Posted in Uncategorized on Friday, July 28th, 2017 at 9:34 PM

The Chevy Silverado has long been know as one of the most powerful trucks in the business, but the 3500HD has taken this to the next level and we have the stats to prove it. Let’s start off with the max available towing, a whopping 23,300 lbs. That’s the weight of two full-grown elephants. The Silverado also comes with a maximum payload rating of just under 10,000 lbs. This is one of the highest ratings ever for it’s class.

Just check out this drag race between the Silverado and the Ford Super Duty. Each is hauling a 1o,ooo lb. trailer, one being driven by football legend Howie Long.

The Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel engine provides nearly 1,000 lbs. of torque and has a class-leading 455 hp. That torque has a 19% increase, and it’s one of the reasons Chevy stays on the cutting edge of making the most powerful vehicles around. These specs deliver a driving-and-hauling experience unparalleled by any other truck currently on the market.

Not only is the power there, but the control and handling that you would expect out of a Chevy. The Digital Steering Assist makes the ride easier when hauling. These electronic controls give you the handling you need for heavy hauls on the highway. Chevy also offers a wide array of trailer inserts that can help you haul whatever you need, no matter how big or small.

Safety is the number one priority when using a truck this powerful, and Chevy has done its part to make moving whatever load you have a safe and comfortable experience. The new Trailer Sway Control detects when the trailer is swaying and applies not only the truck’s breaks but also the trailers. The Trailering Camera System gives the driver full visibility on any blind spots presented by a trailer to make sure you have the safest conditions possible while on the road.

Now these are just some of the ways that the Silverado  is the most powerful, safest, and best handling truck in the business. Browse the best deals on the Chevy Silverado at Newton Chevrolet Buick GMC.
